Powder coating appears in countless locations in everyday life - your balcony railings, a steel gate, your letter box or bicycle frame. Powder coating is an extremely versatile surface treatment which coats surfaces with solids without any additives. DOT’s powder coating saves the environment from waste of resources as much of the power is reusable.
No surface treatments are better than the type of preparation used for the items. That's why nothing is left to chance in the preparatory phase for powder coating. First the item is cleaned and degreased in DOT's chemical preparation which prepares the surface for a primer or topcoat. Of course, the preparation depends on the type of material.
The steel or aluminium surface is then ready for air-blowing, if required, and the final powder coating finish. When the surface treatment has been completed, the item will be inspected visually to ensure that the final product meets DOT's strict quality requirements regarding film thickness, sampling and finish.
Powder coating can also be carried out immediately after hot-dip galvanizing with Duplex.
